Mini Rodini Dots Dog Jumpsuit

This is interesting because the first thing I noticed wasn't the spots.

It was the tiny dachshund.

He's so small you could almost miss him, stitched neatly onto the chest like he's wandered into the design by accident. Against the bold black polka dots, it's exactly the sort of unexpected detail that makes Mini Rodini feel different. They rarely stop at a good print; there's usually something else waiting to be discovered.

The oversized spots are brilliant too. They give the jumpsuit a slightly graphic feel that reminds me more of classic Scandinavian design than traditional babywear. It's playful, but it doesn't rely on pastel colours or cartoon characters to get there.

The ribbed organic cotton is another reason I'd pick this up. It has a lovely softness with just enough stretch to keep up with babies who are rolling, crawling and generally refusing to stay still. The poppers running down the front make changes straightforward, and the ribbed texture lifts it beyond a plain jersey babygrow.

I wouldn't save this for best. It's far too practical for that. This is the sort of piece I'd happily see covered by a cardigan, peeking out from a sleeping bag or worn exactly as it is around the house, because even if half of it disappears, that tiny sausage dog still manages to make me smile.
