Becksöndergaard Simply Taupe Beige Tie Balaclava

A balaclava that feels much more fashion than functional, although it happens to be very good at the functional bit too. The Becksöndergaard Tie Balaclava takes the warmth of a knitted hood and adds long ties that can be wrapped around the neck, crossed at the front or knotted loosely under the chin.

It’s the shape that makes it. There’s something almost headscarf-like about the way it sits, with the ties becoming part of the look rather than simply keeping it in place. The knit is soft and cosy without being bulky, and having your head and neck covered in one go makes a surprising difference when it’s properly cold.

Wear it tied up and tucked into a coat, leave the ends hanging loose, or push the hood back when you don’t need it up.

A much more interesting alternative to a beanie, and particularly good with an oversized coat or jacket.
