Bananas! Candle

This is the candle that made me want to stock Wary Meyers. I was given one as a gift, fell completely in love with it, and decided I needed to bring the whole thing to Cissy Wears. It's that good.

Banana sounds like an odd choice for a scented candle, I know. But forget banana sweets, banana bread or anything remotely artificial. This smells like a perfectly ripe banana, the kind you'd find piled high at a fruit market somewhere hot and tropical. Sweet, warm and almost impossible to describe without making it sound like something you'd eat. Except it doesn't. It's more like the feeling of being somewhere sunny, with absolutely nothing to do.

And then there's the jar. A beautifully simple, soft-touch ceramic vessel that comes with its own sheet of stickers, so you can decorate it however you like. Leave it plain, go completely overboard or change your mind halfway through. I particularly love that the jar is something you'll want to keep long after the candle has finished.

Each Wary Meyers Banana scented candle is hand-poured in small batches at their studio in Maine, USA, using 8 oz of paraffin wax. Presented in an illustrated gift box, with an approximate burn time of 45 hours.

A very good gift, although I'd strongly suggest getting one for yourself too.
