Looking For The Magic Patch

A golden-yellow patch with a tuxedoed rabbit popping out of a top hat, mid-trick, mid-wink. “Looking For The Magic” arches overhead in red, with silver stars stitched around like stage lights. It’s playful, but not childish — more late-night cabaret than birthday party entertainer.

The background is soft faux suede, which gives the whole thing a slightly matte, velvety finish. The embroidery sits dense and bright against it: inky black hat, cobalt bow tie, gold script. At 3.75" x 2.75", it’s a strong little rectangle — big enough to read clearly, small enough to place almost anywhere.

Iron it onto a denim jacket, the back pocket of vintage jeans, a canvas tote that needs a bit of theatre. It comes with an iron-on backing, but this one needs care: use a damp cloth between the patch and the iron, as the faux suede is heat sensitive and can scorch.

It’s less about pulling rabbits from hats.
