Maine Cabin Woodsmoke, Cedar & Patchouli Candle

A cabin in the woods, a fire that's been going for hours and absolutely no plans to leave. Maine Cabin by Wary Meyers smells like the sort of place you'd disappear to for a weekend and seriously consider never coming back.

This woodsmoke scented candle gets that wonderful smell of a real log fire just right. Smoky without being overpowering, with cedar bringing a dry, woody warmth and patchouli adding something deeper and earthier. It's not sweet, not floral and definitely not trying to smell like a spa. Just good old-fashioned woodsmoke, trees and the feeling of being somewhere miles away from everything.

I particularly like this one for autumn and winter, although there's no reason you couldn't burn it all year. It's the closest you'll get to having a wood-burning stove without actually installing one. And considerably less trouble.

The candle comes in a soft-touch ceramic jar, presented in a beautifully illustrated box designed by Wary Meyers. There's also a sheet of stickers included so you can customise the jar yourself. Leave it as it is or give it your own little makeover. Either way, it's far too good to throw away once the candle has finished.

Hand-poured in small batches at their studio in Maine, USA, using 8 oz of paraffin wax, with an approximate burn time of 45 hours.
