Mini Rodini Violas Velour Baby Hat

A baby bonnet in brown velour covered in enormous, gloriously bright violas. Pink, cobalt blue, orange and yellow flowers with deep green leaves, all packed together on that dark chocolate background. The colours are incredible.

Mini Rodini call this a baby helmet, but it’s essentially a close-fitting bonnet-style hat, shaped to cover the head and ears with ties underneath the chin. The velour makes particularly good sense here: soft, cosy and with that lovely slightly plush finish that gives the flower colours even more depth.

I also really like that this isn’t remotely pale or delicate just because it’s for a baby. It’s rich, bold and properly colourful, with a print that could have come straight from a piece of 1970s upholstery – in the best possible way.

It would look brilliant against a plain snowsuit or coat in cream, brown, navy or even bright red. Tiny bonnet shape, absolutely enormous flowers.
