Mini Rodini Rabbits Application Sweatshirt

I think this might be my favourite version of the rabbit. Putting her enormous cream appliqué straight onto black makes all those tiny embroidered details suddenly look much sharper – the cobalt eyes, red bow, ears and little tail, right down to the whiskers, eyebrows and teeth.

And the scale is great. She takes up most of the front rather than sitting politely as a little chest detail, which is exactly what this sweatshirt needs. There’s even a tiny embroidered Mini Rodini signature tucked alongside her that you don’t really notice until you get close.

The sweatshirt itself is kept completely simple: black, round neck, dropped shoulders, roomy sleeves and ribbed cuffs and hem. It’s a properly oversized shape, which I’d wear big with loose denim, leggings or over a dress rather than trying to make it look neat.

There’s something very old-school about a big appliqué sweatshirt like this, particularly against the black. And despite the bows and eyelashes, this rabbit is definitely not remotely twee. She looks far too suspicious of everyone for that.
