Jellycat Growlston Gargoyle

Growlston Gargoyle has landed himself a job as a nightclub bouncer, which sounds perfect until you discover he’s incapable of actually turning anyone away.

Squat, soft and satisfyingly stony, Growlston has slate grey fur, chunky little paws, a pair of wings and two wonderfully wonky ears. His embroidered face is more friendly than fearsome, which perhaps should have been the first clue that security might not be his natural calling.

Still, he takes his position at the door extremely seriously. Rain or shine, Growlston is there greeting everyone as they arrive and wishing them a fabulous evening. He doesn’t even mind missing the party – he’s perfectly happy listening to the music coming through the walls from his spot outside.

The guest list is where things start to fall apart. If your name isn’t down, Growlston assumes he must have forgotten to add it. In you go.

Possibly the least effective bouncer in history, but absolutely the one we’d most like to find on the door.
