Brigitte Tanaka Watch Bag

Brigitte Tanaka’s Watch Bag takes something as familiar as a wristwatch and completely changes the proportions. An oversized embroidered watch stretches across sheer orange organza, with its black strap running from one side of the bag to the other as though it has been fastened around it.

It’s a clever idea, but it’s the colour combination that really makes this one. The orange organza is bright and translucent, set against deep black embroidery and matching black ribbon handles. At the centre is the watch face, beautifully worked with tiny hands, hour markers and flashes of red.

The transparency is part of what makes these bags so lovely. They’re incredibly light, and whatever you put inside shows through the organza and changes the way the colour looks.
