For anyone who still misses the days of a proper paper boarding pass. Brigitte Tanaka has recreated the old airline ticket in sheer white organza, complete with flight details, seat number, barcode and that familiar red and blue print.
The embroidery is ridiculously detailed. This one is flying First Class from San Francisco to Paris, naturally, with Brigitte Tanaka listed as the passenger and tiny bilingual details running across the ticket. Even the perforated sections of the original have made it into the design.
Finished with a gold zip and little chain and clasp, it can be clipped onto a bag or used as a small pouch for the things you don’t want disappearing inside it.
It’s nostalgic in the best possible way. A reminder of when plane tickets were actual objects you could tuck into a passport and keep afterwards, rather than another barcode sitting on your phone.
A brilliant gift for a traveller – or anyone permanently plotting their next escape.
