Retro Boombox Glass Christmas Ornament

A proper old-school boombox, back when listening to music required batteries the size of your hand and occasionally sticking a pencil into a cassette tape.

This one comes in brilliant metallic red with enormous silver and black speakers, cassette deck, buttons, dials and a handle across the top. Silver glitter picks out all those tiny details, giving it exactly the right amount of Christmas sparkle without losing the gloriously chunky 80s look.

Made using traditional mouth-blown glass techniques, each ornament is individually hand painted and finished by hand. The glossy red glass and mirrored silver details catch the tree lights beautifully, while small variations between pieces are part of the handmade finish.

Ready to hang with a cord and supplied with a gift tag, it’s a brilliant Christmas present for music lovers, DJs, cassette collectors and anyone who remembers making mixtapes, recording songs off the radio and trying desperately not to get the DJ talking over the intro.
