Printworks Play Tumbling Tower

Tumbling Tower has had a very good makeover.

Printworks has taken the game everyone knows and swapped the usual plain wooden blocks for a brilliant mix of deep red, orange and cream. Even the box gets involved, with the same striped design running across it, so this is one you can leave sitting on a shelf rather than immediately hiding away with the board games.

The premise is wonderfully simple. Build the tower, then take turns removing one block at a time and placing it back on top without bringing the whole thing crashing down. It starts off feeling incredibly easy, gets progressively more precarious, and eventually someone makes the move everyone else has been waiting for.

It's one of those rare games that needs virtually no explaining, works across different ages and is just as good pulled out after dinner with friends as it is for a family games night. Everything packs neatly back into the box afterwards, ready for another round.

A classic game, just much nicer to have lying around.
