Ship In A Bottle Iron on Patch

A tiny ship in a bottle, stitched in thread.

This embroidered iron-on patch shows a small sailing boat sealed inside a glass bottle, complete with stitched waves and delicate sails. Underneath, “MOTHERSHIP” is embroidered on a little banner, giving the whole design a slightly nautical, storybook feel.

The colours are soft and slightly vintage — pale aqua glass, white sails, blue water and warm brown stitching for the boat and bottle neck. Up close, the embroidery has lots of small details: rigging lines, layered sails and textured water that make the scene feel surprisingly intricate for such a small patch.

It’s the sort of design that feels quietly characterful rather than loud. On a denim jacket, canvas bag or pencil case it adds a small point of interest — something you notice more the longer you look.

Once ironed on, the patch sits flat with a raised stitched edge that gives it a solid, well-finished feel. A simple way to customise everyday pieces or add a small piece of maritime charm to something plain.
