Konges Sløjd Kitty Perla Cross Body Bag

This is a tiny beaded cat bag and, really, what more could you want?

The Kitty Perla Cross Body Bag is made entirely from little translucent beads in a brilliant dusty pink, with the cat worked straight into the front in chocolate brown, pale yellow and blue. Look closely and you can see how every part of the picture has been built bead by bead, which gives it that slightly crafty, old-school feel that makes it so much nicer than a standard kids’ handbag.

The long beaded strap means it can be worn cross body, leaving hands free for all the other important things that apparently need carrying. It’s small and flat, so very much a bag for treasures rather than practical belongings — exactly as a children’s bag should be.

And while it’s obviously made for kids, it doesn’t feel babyish. The colours are gorgeous, the cat is excellent and it looks particularly good worn over a coat or knit where all those glossy little beads really stand out.
