These are made for those mornings when an espresso simply isn't enough. A proper lungo, a flat white, or whatever your coffee order happens to be, served in mugs that are impossible to ignore. One is drenched in rich purples and inky marbling, the other glows with burnt amber, electric blue and charcoal. Completely different personalities, yet they make perfect sense together.

The rounded shape is what makes them so satisfying. They sit beautifully in your hands, with a reassuring weight that makes slowing down for ten minutes feel entirely justified. They have that sculptural quality HKliving does so well, looking just as good stacked on an open shelf as they do sitting beside the coffee machine.

I actually prefer buying mugs in pairs like this rather than identical sets. It gives everyone a favourite without making the cupboard feel too coordinated, and somehow the morning coffee ritual feels a bit more personal.

Like every piece in the 70's Ceramics collection, each mug has its own reactive glaze, so no two are ever exactly alike. That's the whole point.
