Bobo Choses Baby Lilac Velvet Footed Leggings

Babies seem to have an uncanny ability to lose socks. One wriggle, one kick, and somehow there's already one missing.

That's exactly why I like footed leggings. Tiny feet stay warm, there's nothing to ride up, and you spend far less time wondering where the other sock has disappeared to.

The soft lilac velvet is lovely too. It feels gentle without slipping into the usual baby pinks, and the plush cotton velvet adds a warmth that makes these perfect once the weather starts to cool. The elasticated waistband is soft enough for little tummies, while the relaxed shape leaves plenty of room for all those stretches, kicks and determined little wiggles that babies seem to spend their days practising.

I also like that Bobo Choses has kept them so simple. No print, no fuss, just the smallest embroidered logo and beautifully soft velvet. Sometimes the fabric really is enough.

They look especially sweet with the matching wrap top, although I'd happily pair them with a simple cream body or chunky knit too. The lilac is surprisingly easy to wear, and it feels like one of those colours that deserves to appear in baby wardrobes far more often than it does.
