Becksöndergaard Brown Melange Opany Triangle Scarf

The Brown Melange Opany has the feel of something you might have found in a very good vintage shop, except the shape makes it much more interesting to wear.

The soft, slightly mottled brown works beautifully with the pointelle knit. It brings out every little detail – the openwork pattern, the scalloped edge and that lovely fuzzy halo of mohair – without making any of it feel overly precious. It’s warm and earthy, somewhere between oatmeal, taupe and soft brown, and particularly good if black or grey feels a little too obvious.

Its long 46 x 135cm triangular shape is really what makes the Opany more than just a scarf. Wrap it around your neck and leave the point loose at the front, knot it like an oversized knitted neckerchief, throw it over your shoulders or tie it around your waist.

The 67% mohair and 33% nylon blend gives it warmth without weight, with that airy fluffiness that looks even better against heavier autumn knits and coats.

Possibly the prettiest of the lot. And surprisingly easy to wear.
