Mini Rodini Kittens Baby Onesie

I am very taken with these strange little cats. Bright red and cobalt blue, slightly suspicious expressions, tiny white bows – scattered all over a creamy off-white background. And then Mini Rodini has added a striped red and blue neckline, which makes the whole thing even better.

This is a proper one-piece outfit rather than something that feels like sleepwear. The shape is relaxed through the body with long sleeves, gently elasticated cuffs and ankles, and the contrast rib around the neck gives it an almost tiny varsity-jacket feel.

Gold-tone poppers run down the front and continue far enough to make getting a baby in and out relatively painless. I particularly like that Mini Rodini hasn't tried to make the fastening disappear. The gold against the cream, red and blue is another detail in its own right.

The colour combination is excellent – strong and bright without losing that lovely soft cream base. And those cats are wonderfully odd. Exactly the sort of print that makes baby clothes much more fun.
