Bobo Choses Knitted Beanie

The colours on this are so good. Soft lilac, fresh green, pale blue and cream, all knitted into a chunky rib that gives it loads of texture. It has the sort of colour palette that makes you stop and pick it up.

The folded cuff sits neatly over little ears, while the chunky knit gives it that cosy, substantial feel you only really get from a thicker yarn. It isn't oversized or slouchy either, so it keeps a lovely shape on little heads without disappearing over their eyes.

What I love most is that it feels like somebody designed this hat first and decided it was for children afterwards. The colours don't feel predictable, the stripes aren't perfectly uniform, and nothing about it has been overworked. It's confident enough to let the knit and the colour do all the talking.

I'd have stocked this if it came in an adult size too. Not because I need another beanie, but because it's exactly the sort of colour combination I find impossible to walk past.
