Pencil Glass Christmas Ornament

For the person who still gets disproportionately excited by a really good pencil. This giant No. 2 version has been turned into a glass Christmas ornament, complete with sharpened tip, silver ferrule and a properly sparkly pink eraser.

Made from blown glass using traditional glassmaking techniques, each pencil is individually hand painted and finished with glossy golden yellow sides that catch the Christmas tree lights beautifully. The tiny details are what make it: the painted wood around the sharpened end, glossy black lead and that glittery pink top.

It’s wonderfully ridiculous at Christmas-tree scale, but also a very good-looking decoration in its own right. And unlike an actual pencil, nobody is going to borrow it and mysteriously never give it back.

Finished with a hanging cord and gift tag, it makes a brilliant Christmas present for teachers, artists, illustrators, writers, stationery obsessives and anyone with an alarming number of notebooks they’re saving for something special.
