Becksöndergaard Simply Taupe Beige Alpaca Wool Triangle Scarf

This is the softest colour of the five, somewhere between oatmeal, stone and a very pale warm beige. Simply Taupe is one of those shades that looks especially good when there’s texture involved, and the fuzzy alpaca and wool knit stops it feeling too pristine.

I’d wear this with all the colours that tend to come out once the coats do: chocolate brown, charcoal, navy, khaki, black. It would also be gorgeous with cream if you like everything tonal. The pointed triangle shape gives all those fairly classic winter colours something a bit more current.

There’s a lovely contrast between the softness of the colour and the sharper shape of the scarf itself. The ends taper right down to a point, so when it’s tied at the front you actually see the silhouette rather than it disappearing into a big bundle of knitwear.

It measures 160 x 55cm and is made from 40% alpaca, 40% wool, 16% nylon and 4% spandex, with Becksöndergaard describing the blend as soft and warm.
