Olive Soy Wax Candle

An olive with absolutely no intention of fitting into your martini.

Big, round and gloriously green, NATA Concept Store has taken the familiar pimento-stuffed olive and blown it up to a size that deserves considerably more attention. The red centre is what really makes it — instantly recognisable, slightly surreal and very good sitting on a shelf.

Made from soy wax and weighing 135g, it’s pleasingly simple compared with some of the more detailed food candles in the collection. Just one enormous olive with a wick on top. Which, frankly, is enough.

This one belongs near the drinks. Put it on a bar cart, next to the cocktail shaker or amongst bottles and glassware where it can look as though someone has been exceptionally generous with the garnish. The retro red and green packaging only adds to it.

A very good present for martini drinkers, cocktail people, olive obsessives and hosts who really don’t need another bottle of something.
