Vintage Pull-Along Red Dog

A little piece of toy nostalgia, in the brightest red with chunky green wheels and a rather brilliant oversized head. This pull-along dog looks like he's come straight from a 1960s toy catalogue, and that's precisely what makes him so appealing.

This wonderfully retro pull-along dog has all the charm of the plastic toys we remember from childhood. A huge head, googly eyes, an oversized black nose and a pair of upright ears that look like little bows. The green collar and chunky matching wheels are a particularly good colour combination against that brilliant red body.

Give the string a pull and off he goes, rolling along on four wheels with his head moving back and forth as he travels. The sort of simple mechanical action that children find endlessly entertaining, without a battery or electronic noise in sight.

I particularly like the moulded details in the plastic, from the shaggy fur around his face to that jaunty little tail. He's got the look of something you might discover in an old-fashioned toy shop, still sitting proudly in its original window display.

A brilliant first pull-along companion for little walkers, and quite possibly one of the most characterful toy dogs we've come across.
