Broccoli Soy Wax Candle

Possibly the only way to get excited about a single stem of broccoli.

Nata Concept Store has taken one of the less glamorous residents of the vegetable drawer and turned it into a very good-looking candle. Hand-poured from soy wax, it’s an impressively detailed 11cm-long broccoli stem, complete with knobbly florets, wonky stalk and a particularly pleasing shade of green.

The fragrance is considerably less vegetable-based. Jasmine, neroli and orange blossom give it a fresh floral scent, so there’s no danger of your house smelling like someone has been boiling broccoli for twenty minutes.

Measuring 11 × 7 × 4.5cm, it’s substantial enough to sit happily on a kitchen shelf, amongst your favourite objects or somewhere on the dinner table to confuse people. It’ll burn for around an hour if you can bring yourself to light it, although watching those carefully moulded little florets slowly disappear may prove harder than expected.
