Mini Rodini Ritzrat Puffer

There are plenty of quilted jackets around. Very few have this much personality.

The colour is what pulled me in first. That rich cobalt blue feels fresh against all the khakis, navies and blacks that tend to appear every autumn, and the cream-and-orange striped ribbing gives it a lovely old-school sportswear feel. Then you notice the little Ritzratz badge on the chest, quietly reminding you that this could only really be Mini Rodini.

I also like the proportions. It's roomy enough to throw over chunky knits and hoodies without feeling restrictive, but it still has a neat shape thanks to the ribbed cuffs and hem. The diamond quilting gives it structure without making it heavy, so it feels like the sort of jacket that gets worn from the first cool mornings of autumn right through to spring.

The oversized patch pockets are another detail I'd completely forgotten to mention if I hadn't looked twice. They're properly useful, and they stop the jacket feeling too polished. This is children's clothing after all—it should be ready for muddy sticks, conkers, random collections of pebbles and whatever else ends up coming home.

I'd probably style it exactly as Mini Rodini has here, over a grey hoodie, because the colours work brilliantly together. Or I'd throw it over almost any print. Somehow this blue seems to get along with everything.
