Vintage Pull Along Black Poodle

A black poodle with an enormous curly hairdo, little white wheels and a rather superior expression. Exactly the sort of toy you'd hope to find in an old-fashioned toy shop.

Made in Poland, this wonderfully retro pull-along dog has a glossy black finish, beautifully exaggerated curls and a tiny white collar. Even its tail has been given the full poodle treatment, complete with a little pom-pom on the end.

Pull the yellow cord and off it goes, rolling along on four chunky white wheels while its head moves from side to side. It's a brilliantly simple toy, with just enough movement to bring that rather distinguished little character to life.

There's a lovely nostalgic quality to these traditional pull-along animals. They're made to be played with, but have the sort of character that makes them equally appealing to anyone with a soft spot for vintage toys and unusual objects.

A very handsome little poodle, and one that doesn't require walking in the rain.
