Becksöndergaard Pureed Pumpkin Orange Dot Cotta Scarf

A bright orange polka dot scarf with tiny cream spots and a contrasting ivory border. Becksöndergaard's Dot Cotta Scarf has a lovely retro look, with the sort of cheerful colour combination you'd expect to find on an old-fashioned cotton neckerchief.

The orange is bold without being fluorescent, and the little cream dots soften the whole thing. I particularly like the ivory border, which gives the print a neat finish and looks great when the scarf is folded and tied.

Made from 100% cotton, the fabric is soft and lightweight, with a relaxed feel. Measuring 55 × 55cm, it's a small square that works beautifully tied close to the neck, either with the knot at the front or slightly to one side. You can also fold it into a band for your hair or tie it around the handle of a bag.

I'd wear this with a white shirt and jeans, but it would look equally good against navy, chocolate brown or a grey sweatshirt. The orange is such a good colour for lifting darker autumn and winter clothes, although there's no reason to put it away when the weather gets warmer.
