Becksöndergaard Grey Melange Opany Triangle Scarf

Grey does something particularly good to the Opany. It makes all that soft, fluffy mohair and delicate open knit feel almost like an old piece of hand knitting you’ve somehow managed to find.

The long triangular shape is knitted in a fine pointelle pattern, with tiny scallops running around the edge and a wonderfully fuzzy finish from the mohair. In this soft grey mélange, you really see the different textures in the knit – it has depth rather than looking flat or overly neat.

And despite all that prettiness, it’s incredibly easy to wear. The 46 x 135cm triangle can be wrapped around the neck with the point at the front, tied more tightly like a knitted neckerchief, draped across the shoulders or worn around the waist over trousers or a skirt. Each way makes it look like a slightly different piece.

Made from 67% mohair and 33% nylon, it’s warm without being bulky and light enough to play around with.

The grey might be the most understated of the Opany colours, but the texture makes sure it’s anything but boring.
