A vintage alphabet flashcard — "P is for pitter patter" — sits over a layered collage background of old maps, thread spools, postage stamps and notebook paper, all in warm reds and oranges. At the centre, a domed glass button shows an illustrated baby in a green romper, kicking its legs with the cheerful energy of someone who has just discovered feet.
The button detaches and can actually be worn, which turns the card into two things at once — something to display and something to keep on a jacket or bag long after the occasion. It's a small detail that makes the whole thing feel more considered than a standard new arrival card.
From The Regional Assembly of Text, a much-loved independent stationery studio based in Vancouver. Blank inside, 4¼ x 5½ inches, white envelope, eco-sleeve. The collage aesthetic and flashcard reference give it a nostalgic warmth that works for new parents of any age — and there's something pleasing about a card that comes with a badge.
