The Fool Tarot Card Glass Decoration

A little bit of fortune telling for the Christmas tree.

Studio THIE's The Fool Tarot Card Glass Decoration takes one of the most recognisable images from the traditional tarot deck and turns it into a rather wonderful hanging ornament. There's the traveller stepping towards the edge of a cliff, a little white dog at their heels and a bright yellow sky overhead. All the details of the original Rider-Waite-Smith illustration, right down to the tiny flower in their hand.

The Fool is card number zero in the tarot deck, representing new beginnings, spontaneity and the excitement of stepping into the unknown. Which feels rather appropriate for a decoration that comes out at the end of one year and the beginning of another.

Made from mouth-blown glass with hand-applied decoration, it's a lovely little object for anyone interested in tarot, astrology, symbolism or simply collecting Christmas decorations that are a bit different.

And there's no reason to put it away in January. This one deserves a spot on display all year round.
