Tom & Boy Houses Trousers

A whole neighbourhood of colourful little houses, printed across a pair of trousers.

Tom & Boy's House Trousers take inspiration from mid-century modern architecture, with geometric buildings that look as though they've been assembled from wooden construction blocks. The playful shapes and blocks of colour bring to mind the work of Charles and Ray Eames, particularly their interest in bringing design and play together.

It's a print full of small details, with different houses, windows and rooftops creating a colourful architectural landscape. There's a slightly nostalgic quality to the illustrations, reminiscent of vintage building toys and picture books.

The house motif runs through several pieces in the Tom & Boy collection, making these trousers easy to pair with the matching shirt. Worn together, the print becomes the whole outfit, but they work just as well with a simple T-shirt or sweatshirt.
