The Smudge Candles Greeting Card is all about colour, repetition and loose mark-making. Rows of hand-painted candles sit across the surface, each one slightly different in shape, stripe and tone. The lettering is worked straight into the composition, softened and uneven, so nothing feels rigid or overdesigned.

Part of the Smudge range and illustrated by The Design Dealership, the artwork leans into painterly texture rather than precision. Off-beat brights sit against a muted ground, giving the card energy without pushing it into novelty. It’s graphic, but not sharp. Playful, but controlled.

Printed in an A6 format on 350gsm heavyweight paper, the card has enough weight to feel considered without distracting from the illustration. The matte finish suits the chalky, brushed quality of the artwork and keeps the colours flat rather than glossy. Supplied with a recycled kraft envelope.
