Pickle Soy Wax Candle

For the person who takes their pickles very seriously.

A big, satisfyingly wonky green pickle, recreated in soy wax and finished with a wick poking out of the top. It’s simple, slightly ridiculous and exactly the sort of thing that makes an otherwise sensible shelf considerably better.

The Pickle candle weighs 75g and comes in NATA Concept Store’s brilliant food-inspired packaging, this time with an old-school pickle illustration across the front. The slightly lurid green wax is spot on too — somewhere between gherkin, dill pickle and the enormous ones you’d expect to find floating in a jar behind the counter of an American deli.

There are plenty of places you could put it, but next to the cocktail stuff feels particularly right. Add one to a home bar alongside the olives and lemons, or give it to the friend who orders extra pickles with absolutely everything.

It’s also a very good answer to the perennial problem of needing a present for someone who seemingly has everything. Chances are they don’t have a pickle candle.
