Mini Rodini Kittens Leggings

I’m very taken with these peculiar little cats. Red and green, all wearing cream bow ties and all looking slightly suspicious of whatever is going on around them.

They’re scattered across a warm caramel background, which is such a good colour with the bright red and green. It could very easily have been a much louder print on a white or primary-coloured base, but the caramel changes it completely. There’s almost a 70s feel to the colour combination, particularly with that slightly odd little illustrated cat.

The leggings themselves are simple and slim, with an elasticated waist and plenty of stretch. Exactly what you want when the print is doing this much. I’d go oversized on top – a sweatshirt, big tee or knit – and let the skinny shape underneath balance it out. Brown, cream, navy and denim would all look particularly good with them.

And the cats really are excellent. Not cute fluffy kittens. More like a tiny, formally dressed committee who have convened to discuss your behaviour.
