Chocolate Cigarettes Christmas Ornament

Remember when you could buy a packet of chocolate cigarettes from the corner shop and pretend you were terribly sophisticated?

Yup in de Boom has brought back that slightly questionable childhood favourite as a glass Christmas decoration. A miniature packet of chocolate cigarettes, complete with pale blue packaging, an old-fashioned illustration and little chocolate-tipped sticks poking out of the top.

It's a proper bit of nostalgia for anyone who grew up buying sweets with their pocket money, when chocolate cigarettes were sold alongside candy necklaces and those little paper bags of penny sweets. Looking back, the whole concept was fairly ridiculous, which makes it all the more amusing as a Christmas decoration.

The glass ornament has a glossy finish, with gold glitter around the edges and a gold hanging cord. The tiny cigarettes have even been given their own glittery brown tips, while the packet proudly declares them to be 'good quality'.

Presented in a blue and orange wavy gift box, it's a funny little Christmas present for anyone with a soft spot for retro sweets, childhood nostalgia and things that probably wouldn't make it onto the shelves today.
