Mini Rodini Violas Flared Trousers

I don't think these are really floral trousers.

They just happen to have flowers on them.

What I actually see is colour. Bright blue, soft pink, warm orange and sunshine yellow scattered across a cream background in a way that somehow feels balanced rather than busy. Mini Rodini has a knack for taking colours that shouldn't work together and making them look as though they've always belonged in the same outfit.

The flared shape makes such a difference too. If these were straight-leg leggings they'd feel much younger, but that little kick at the hem gives them a completely different personality. They have a slightly retro feel without looking like fancy dress, and they're the sort of trousers children seem to grow into rather than out of.

I'd keep the rest of the outfit simple. A plain sweatshirt, a chunky cardigan or the matching Viola T-shirt if you're in the mood to fully embrace the print. Somehow it works. Mini Rodini has always been good at convincing us that head-to-toe florals are entirely reasonable.

Made from soft organic cotton with plenty of stretch, they're designed for climbing, cartwheels and everything in between. The shape is fun, but they're still proper play clothes, which is exactly why I like them.
