Konges Sløjd Teddy Coeur Magot Frill Pants

I'm usually quite sceptical of printed denim.

It can so easily end up looking overworked, especially when you start adding characters, logos and bright colours. Somehow Konges Sløjd has managed to squeeze all three onto these jeans and they've still come out looking genuinely cool.

I think it's because the denim comes first.

From a distance they just look like a really good pair of relaxed jeans. Then you notice the tiny hearts scattered across them. Then the vintage teddy. Then the colourful Konges Sløjd lettering tucked quietly into the print. There's plenty going on, but it never feels overwhelming.

The fit is exactly what I'd want as well. Easy through the leg, an elasticated waistband that children can actually manage themselves and little frilled pockets that soften the look without making them feel overly dressed up.

I'd style these exactly as I would a pair of plain jeans. A simple knit, a sweatshirt or even just a white T-shirt and let the print do what it does best. It doesn't need competing with.

The teddy is what catches your eye. The fact they still feel like really good denim is why we bought them for Cissy Wears.
