Bigger than a T. rex? Quite possibly. The Giganotosaurus was one of the largest meat-eating dinosaurs ever discovered, with enormous jaws, sharp teeth and powerful legs. Its name means 'giant southern lizard', which seems entirely appropriate for a creature of this size.
This Giganotosaurus dinosaur figure has a reddish-brown body with dark markings, a long tail and an impressive mouthful of teeth. Living around 99 million years ago during the Late Cretaceous period, Giganotosaurus roamed what is now Argentina. One of the most formidable prehistoric predators, it's a fascinating alternative to the familiar Tyrannosaurus rex.
Part of the ZYLO collectible dinosaur series, this Giganotosaurus toy comes in an orange illustrated case with a carrying handle and an image of the dinosaur on the front. The packaging is particularly good, giving the whole thing the feel of a little collector's case rather than an ordinary boxed toy.
A brilliant dinosaur gift for children aged 3 and over, particularly those fascinated by prehistoric predators and unusual dinosaur species. Perfect for imaginative play or adding to a collection of dinosaur figures.
