Mini Rodini Kittens Sweatpants

The blue stripe down the sides makes these. Without it, very nice cat trousers. With it, tiny retro tracksuit and I’m completely sold.

They’re a warm cream with red and cobalt blue cats scattered all over, each with their little cream bow ties and rather serious faces. Then that strong blue stripe runs right down the outside of each leg, picking up the blue cats and giving the whole thing a proper old-school sportswear feel.

The leg is loose and straight rather than a traditional cuffed jogger, which I really like here. There’s an elasticated waist, plenty of room through the leg and a shape that looks just as good with a sweatshirt as it does with a tee or knit. I’d probably go for something oversized on top and trainers, keeping everything else quite simple because the trousers are already doing plenty.

Cream, red and that brilliant cobalt blue is such a good combination. And I particularly like the cats that get chopped in half by seams and waistbands. Nobody has tried to make them line up neatly. Much better.
