Konges Sløjd Couer Lint Newborn Minnie Body GOTS

Oh this colour combination is good. That slightly milky pistachio green with the tiny coral hearts feels much less predictable than the usual pink baby clothes, and then Konges Sløjd has picked up the coral again around every edge with that lovely little scalloped stitch.

This is the newborn version of the Minnie body, so rather than pulling it over a tiny head, the whole front wraps across and fastens with poppers down the side and around the bottom. Much easier in those first weeks when getting anybody dressed can feel unnecessarily complicated.

The cotton has a fine pointelle pattern running through it, with rows of tiny openwork details between the hearts. It makes the fabric feel really delicate without the body itself being overly fussy. Long sleeves give a little more coverage, and the wrap shape means it works just as nicely on its own as it does underneath other layers.

I really like this green on a newborn. And those teeny coral hearts are very, very hard to resist.
