Before the famous bear became quite so famous, there was this. Bartholomew Bear Junior — younger, softer, his fur still finding its final shade — arriving with that unmistakable nose already perfectly formed and a pair of eyes that already know exactly how to twinkle.

He's a creative soul with a lot going on. His room houses an extensive dressing-up box, stocked with costumes stitched by his artist cousin Leola Bear, and music tends to drift through the house — inherited entirely from his father, a professional musician. Dancing and performing are already very much part of the picture.

He can be a little shy on first meeting, so gentle introductions are appreciated. He responds well to encouragement — particularly around fur-brushing, teeth-cleaning, and the slower progress of his reading. Screen time is, officially, limited.
