Bobo Choses Baby Green/Purple Colour Block Sheepskin Chapka

Some hats get tolerated. This is one they'll actually want to wear.

The colours do a lot of the work. Bright emerald green, deep purple and a flash of orange across the peak shouldn't make sense together, but somehow they absolutely do. It's unmistakably Bobo Choses. Bold enough to brighten a grey winter morning without feeling shouty.

The soft borg fleece is wonderfully cosy, with ear flaps that properly cover little ears instead of hovering somewhere nearby. They fasten under the chin on colder days if you need them to, while the curved peak helps keep low winter sun and drizzle out of little eyes. It's practical, but it doesn't look overly practical, which is exactly why I like it.

I also think this is one of those accessories that makes the simplest coat look more interesting. Throw it on with a plain puffer, wellies and knitted leggings and suddenly the whole outfit feels considered without looking as though you've tried too hard.

Made from recycled polyester borg fleece, it's lightweight, warm and soft enough that there's a good chance it stays on for longer than most winter hats ever do.
