Le Bon Shoppe Black Soft Jersey Supple Tee

Black is where this tee really comes into its own. It has all the ease of a big, slouchy sweatshirt, but without the weight or bulk. The soft cotton jersey sits somewhere between a long-sleeved tee and a lightweight sweat, so it’s a really useful layer when a normal T-shirt isn’t quite enough.

The shape is deliberately oversized, with dropped shoulders and a wide body that falls loosely rather than clinging. Then you get those shirred balloon sleeves, pulled in at the ribbed cuffs, which give the whole thing a much better shape than your standard black long-sleeved tee. The classic crew neck keeps it simple.

I’d wear the black with wide-leg trousers or a big pair of jeans and let the proportions do the work. It’s also good under a coat because you get that oversized look without trying to stuff a full sweatshirt underneath.

Made from baby-soft cotton jersey in South Korea. Garment dyed and washed, so slight variations in colour and fit are part of the finish.
