Brigitte Tanaka Minerals Bag

The Minerals Bag feels like a page from an old geology book, with a collection of stones and crystals embroidered across sheer, iridescent organza.

Each mineral is completely different. There are rough pieces of tourmaline, a deep green emerald, blue spinel and sapphire, topaz and a tiny striped bonbon, all individually embroidered and numbered with their names underneath. The detail is incredible, from the different stitches used to create the texture of the stones to the slightly old-fashioned lettering.

Then there’s the organza itself. It shifts between green, purple and blue as it catches the light, giving the whole bag the same changing colours and reflections you find in the minerals. Even the long handles have that beautiful iridescent finish.

It has the feel of a collector’s chart, but translated into something you can actually carry. A particularly lovely Brigitte Tanaka bag, and one where the closer you look, the more there is to see.
