Becksöndergaard Birch White Opany Triangle Scarf

In Birch White, the Opany looks almost like knitted lace.

The warm creamy shade shows off the pointelle pattern beautifully, with little rows of openwork running through the knit and a scalloped border tracing the entire triangular edge. Combined with the hazy fluff of the mohair, it has the feel of an old hand-knitted shawl – but shrunk down and given a shape that makes far more sense with what we actually wear now.

And that shape is the clever bit. The 46 x 135cm triangle can sit across the shoulders, wrap closely around the neck with the point falling at the front, or be tied around the waist over trousers or a skirt. It can be scarf, shawl or an extra piece of knitwear depending on what you do with it.

The 67% mohair and 33% nylon blend keeps it feather-light and softly fuzzy, so even wrapped up it never feels bulky.

Birch White also makes a very good case for wearing cream all winter. Especially when the knit is this good.
