Frida K Cut and Make Paper Puppet

Frida Kahlo as a paper puppet, complete with flowers, jewellery and an excellent pair of boots.

This cut-out-and-make version captures so many of the details that make Frida instantly recognisable. Her dark centre-parted hair, bold earrings and layered green necklace are all there, along with a beautiful lilac dress covered in tiny dots and an anatomical heart sitting right across the chest. Even the shoes get their own intricate pattern.

Printed onto substantial 350gsm card, the individual pieces are ready to cut out and put together using the small split pins included. These create articulated shoulders, elbows and legs, so the finished Frida can be moved and posed rather than simply sitting flat. Once assembled, she measures approximately 32cm tall.

It’s a lovely introduction to one of the most important and distinctive artists of the 20th century, but definitely not something that needs to be reserved for children. The finished puppet is far too good not to keep out.

Made from FSC-certified cardstock and presented in a recyclable polypropylene sleeve.
