Printworks Dominoes

Dominoes, minus the pub-table aesthetic.

Printworks has given the classic game a very pleasing update, with pale blue dominoes tucked inside a slim blue-grey box that looks good enough to stay out on the shelf. The traditional dots and dividing lines are still there, just picked out in white against the blue pieces, making the whole thing feel rather different from the black-and-white set you might remember.

Inside is everything you need for a proper game of dominoes. Match the numbered ends, build out the chain and try to be the first to get rid of all your pieces. The rules are simple enough to teach in minutes, but there's still enough strategy involved to make winning feel satisfying rather than accidental.

It's an easy one to bring out after dinner, play with the family or leave on the coffee table for an impromptu game. And because Printworks has made the packaging as good as the game itself, packing it away doesn't mean it has to disappear into a cupboard.
