Peach / Jill Stackable Hasami Mug

A mug with a little history behind the smile.

The dusty-blush glaze gives this Hasami mug a quiet warmth that feels instantly at home on a kitchen shelf. Front and centre is Jill — yellow ponytail, halftone dots and that unmistakably cheerful grin — one of the original characters from the OSAMU GOODS universe. Created by Japanese illustrator Osamu Harada, the series first appeared on stationery and everyday objects in the late 70s and went on to define a whole era of playful Japanese pop graphics.

There’s something enduring about the design: simple lines, bold colour and a kind of optimistic clarity that feels just as fresh now as it did decades ago.

The mug itself is made in Hasami, a Nagasaki region long known for practical, well-considered ceramics. The shape is classic Hasami too — gently tapered and stackable, with a solid square handle that sits comfortably in the hand. At around 280ml, it’s just right for tea, coffee or a morning flat white.
