Retro Roly‑Poly Doll Yellow XL

A sunshine-yellow body, bright red buttons and the most extraordinary pair of blue eyes. This traditional Polish roly-poly baby looks like it's been lifted straight from the shelves of a 1960s toy shop, complete with that slightly mysterious expression that makes these old-fashioned dolls so fascinating.

The details are particularly lovely on this one. A white scalloped bonnet frames its little face, with a perfectly curled orange fringe peeking out underneath. There's a matching white collar, round hands and colourful folk-style flowers painted across the glossy yellow body. It's cheerful, wonderfully eccentric and rather difficult to stop looking at.

Known as a Nevalyashka, this classic tumbler toy has a weighted, rounded base that keeps it coming back upright. Push it gently and it rocks from side to side, refusing to stay down however many times you try.

Made in Poland, these traditional wobbling babies have been part of childhood for generations. A beautifully simple toy that encourages little hands to experiment with movement, and a rather special find for anyone who appreciates the peculiar charm of vintage toys.
