A proper snowy Christmas scene, but with none of the twee bits.

Designed by Ariana Martin, this medium letterpress card has a brilliant blue sky filled with falling snow and a tall white three-storey house sitting underneath it. Then there’s the tiny gold foil door — a very small detail that makes the whole thing. Merry Christmas sits across the front, nice and simple.

The letterpress printing gives the snow and illustration that lovely pressed texture, while the flash of gold catches the light without turning the whole card sparkly. It feels festive in a very clean, slightly Scandinavian sort of way.

It’s a medium-sized card, so there’s enough space inside for more than a hurried ‘Merry Christmas x’, but it still feels neat and unfussy. A particularly good one for someone who appreciates a beautiful card and will probably keep it on the mantelpiece until February.
